July 2016
Hello! Welcome to my blog! This is a continuation of my study abroad trip. The previous one was, Lesbos, Greece. Enjoy!
Night 1:
We flew from Athens to Munich, landed at night, and took the train over to Hotel Amba. Even though we were together as a class, it was a bit scary, because we saw a lot of drunk and homeless people. We got to our hotel and there was no wifi!! What?!
Day 1:
Woke up and ate really good breakfast downstairs.

Then we took the train to explore Marienplatz and downtown.

When we were going up the escalator, my classmate Jessica & I were in shocked! We turned around, our jaws drop, and our reactions was “WOOOWWW” at the beautiful buildings and structures.

Then we paid 1 euro to go up the tower. Gorgeous view from the top!

We left our mark in the tower! 🙂

Then we continue to walk and explore!

We went inside a supermarket and was surprised with their carts! I loved it!

Then we stopped by the Viktualienmarkt. This place was super cute! There were tons of foods and souvenirs.

Ofcourse, we had to get beer and pretzel on our first day in Germany!! That’s the best way to do it right? 😉

Then that evening, my two classmates and I went to a bar to watch the futbol game. I am not into soccer but being in Europe, it made me more interested. Everyone’s spirit is lively and I love it!

Day 2:
We went to Dachau Concentration Camp. It was so surreal to be there with so many stories behind it. It was a definitely a history lesson.

So sad 😦

Day 3:
It was 4th of July back in the states and we celebrated by Segwaying around Munich! It was my first time and it wasn’t bad! The segway tour was definitely fast and we passed by so many architecture quickly. Nonetheless, it was fun!
I can’t believe I found this screenshot. I didn’t even remember that I had it until I looked back in my photos. Looked like I did some research before we segwayed haha.

We had to meet our Segway tour guide in Marienplatz and we saw this, so I had to touch the gold boob for good luck. I touched a gold toe in Split, Croatia for good luck too haha.

Then we went to Maximillanuem to practice.

It was optional to wear the helmet 🙂

and off we go…

This was my favorite stop! People were surfing in a river at a park! So cool!!

Then that evening, we went to dinner as a class at a Beer Garden and wow I loved it! The trees were so green and luscious. I loved that there were a ton of people there after work, getting dinner, and had a huge stein of beer! They’re living life.

Day 4:
We went to a newspaper office to talk with businessmen about the refugees.

Then Renee, Jessica & I went to explore the English garden. It was huge. So much bigger than Central Park in New York.

Then that night we went to Hofbrauhaus. It was super crowded and a little hard to find an open spot. But we enjoyed a girls night out!

Then the next day, my class and I were off to Berlin. After Berlin, we headed back to Munich for the day before everyone departed off to travel on their own or go back home. Study abroad was pretty freaking awesome.
On the last day in Munich, we went to Marienplatz and did last minute souvenir shopping and ran into the Pride Parade! There was a free concert too. It was cool. I felt so safe. Everyone was so spirited!

They even thought about the Orlando Shooting ❤ RIP
